Webster has lots of problems but the three that stick out the most are “He’s a control freak” “He thinks he’s great” & “When he left LHS, he was expecting everyone to be sad, it didn’t happen, we had a party”. Now that’s got to hurt!!
Eckles is a hot headed, control freak. That would be right up Monterey’s alley. He is a great recruiter though. Look at all of the Monterey or Coronado kids playing for Shallowater H.S. Eckles is only loyal to himself and to hell with everybody else. If UIL was a viable entity they would have been on to this guy two years ago.
Everyone knows that Webster would give his left one to be the coach at Monterey.
Who knows’ he left LHS to go to Coronado and now Monterey is open, he may want to make it a Trifecta, inside the loop.
I’m pretty sure he has worn out his welcome at Coronado and he needs to see some new skirts in the front rows of his classes.
Are you kidding me?! Is there any reason why they should be overlooking the assistant that has been there for Monterey for the last several years? Coach Morris has proven himself with the kids on several occasions. As a pitching coach, he has had three kids in five years get drafted (pretty good odds if you ask me)including Chad Bettis, a Texas Tech standout. I’m pretty sure if you ask the kids who have played for him that they would back me up. I know I loved playing for him.
I would love to see Coach Morris at Monterey, but he took a job in Midland with Coach Morton. Of course he could re-consider for a head coaching job. I’d vote for Morris! He’s the glue that held that team together once Kinzy moved to the metroplex, it dang sure wasn’t the “other” guy!
If Lubbock ISD is smart, they’ll hire Travis Walden …

I think Webster should go to Monterey, and Coach Walden and Coach Rocha should go to CHS! hahahahah That would make very happy!!!!!

I wouldn’t want a coach that just beat me by a combined 20 runs in a doubleheader either………….

What about Coach Eckles of Shallowater he is a Monterrey grad and has a pretty good record.

I bet LHS wishes they had jimmy Webster back as opposed to what they have had since he left.
