It was a mixed day on the courts for the Coronado and Lubbock High tennis teams in matches against Abilene High and Abilene Cooper on Tuesday.

Coronado and Lubbock High both beat Abilene Cooper by scores of 14-2 and 11-10, respectively. But both lost to Abilene High, Coronado falling 10-9 and Lubbock High 13-6.

The Mustangs (5-1) dominated Cooper, dropping just one girls singles match and one boys doubles match, while Lubbock High used a strong showing in boys singles, winning five of seven matches, and boys doubles, winning two of three.

Coronado was again strong in boys action against Abilene High, but the Eagles swept the girls doubles and took four of six in singles. Abilene’s girls swept all singles and doubles matches against LHS.
