Look for everyone downing Roosevelt, remember that they are still a team that went to playoffs last year. Oh and that was 3 rounds they went. Last year is last year I know but still do not say they are not a team to be wrecking with. For those of you who don’t think they are good just because they haven’t played very good teams, you better back up and regroup. Because they are still a dang good team. This week they take on Sundown, by far their toughest test yet. They will prove something to you all, win or lose. As for our junior Qb getting player of the week, do not be jealous, he deserves it. My son and the rest of the O-line blocked great for him! So get used to hearing about that QB out in Acuff, because when you have a line that gives you enough time to bake a cake, your gonna have a successful QB!

Well if we are gonna go off last years playoffs then idalou is in the best shape cuz we went farther than anyone 4 rounds deep and beat the snot out of everyone in district except for littlefield but this is this year and Joe is right sundown should tell us alot but either way it’s a 1A school and any good 2A school should kill any 1A school. Once again Seminole is a legitamately good 3a school Who went three rounds deep and beat sweetwater last week unlike brownfield or floydada who are both a joke but no there is not a Reagan on varsity but the jv quarterback is a Reagan and my brother is on his team and they will soon be a force to be reckoned with but the main person I remember being behind our most recent succes was tanner cook idalou is not a one man school though and anyone will tell you that they are very well disciplined all around team one man teams don’t go to the quarterfinals

Shallowater is good, but yall have to play someone good to prove something. Make a name by playing a good team. I guarantee that Idalou, Littlefield, Post, and Roosevelt have all learned something from there ONE loss. Roosevelt learned that they are a very good defense team, holding Sundowns Offense to just 7 points. They also know they beat them selves wit penalties (some bad calls but that doesn’t matter), turnovers, dropped passes, and simply just not putting the ball in the Endzone when they are driving. They have learned from this loss and not make these mistakes again in district.

well we are all right to a point, we all love our schools that we all can see. but sundown had a bad night as well, and littlefield well they didnt let brownfield score not saying much for brownfield,and the playoffs last year well we lost to the state champions and everyone that went deep well guess what muleshoe would had beat yall as well, District is just around the corner and oh by the way look at the standings now Shallowater , Littlefield, and then everyone else istied of course but like im saying district is around the corner its time to put up or shutup and that includes me. a little secret watch out for the sleeper team

Who will win district 3-2a, Lfd has a shot plus remember they start only 4seniors…with only 2 on defense. 4 soph start as well. The friona lost (4 fumbles) who can win with those turnovers in a close game. This district is loaded, Lfd won last year but remember 3 games were decided by a FG or less. Everyone has a shot……it all depends on who shows up on fridays and seizes the moment. GOOD LUCK to ALL.

Ya’ll want to talk about young? Idalou has been doing it with a very young team but the few seniors that are playing, have really stepped up. It’s been a tough season but they’re hanging in there because of that tough defense. #81, 11, 21 are great leaders.

I think it’s funny how most the teams at the bottom have many experienced upperclassman on their roster but if you look at idalou and littlefield they are both technically in “rebuilding seasons” and both are starting young quarterbacks and many sophmores and juniors but both teams are 1 and 2 in district right now. It doesn’t look good for the rest of the district over the next few years if I were yall I would pray for a serious realignment this next February cuz it looks like spots 1 and 2 are gonna be on lock

Cheating or not Dustin yall got beat….don’t be a sore loser is not good for a program prediciting a state championship. Overcoming adversity is what you have to do, even if it was the refs. The Lfd Wildcats were seriously getting hammered by the refs at eagles stadium while down 22-7. If your team makes plays when needed it doesn’t matter what the officials do. I can see why there is a differance between Idalous’ program and DC or Shallowater. We didn’t blame the refs when we lost to Seminole and DC and Shallowater think they lost because of the refs. I guess the refs tripped the shallowater players allowing #81 to get into the endzone for the win. The refs also fumbled the ball on the goal line twice and started throwing the ball in the red zone after rushing all the way down the field for DC. Take your loss and learn, not whine, not complain and don’t blame the refs for your shortcomings. At that point you’ll become teams that can compete yearly with Idalou and Littlefield.

DC Mustang……Please MOVE ON its done. Over the years several teams will win the statistics but not the game. The refs are a small piece to that puzzle. With 350yds on the ground and so little points sounds like not seizing the moment. REFs can’t stop that. Well I can say that Idalou is tough but not very productive. How can the number one quarter back get hurt and lose his starting job to a soph. Not to take away from the soph, he is going to be good but he can’t produce points yet. Idalou will continue to fail until they put the senior back at quarterback and maybe even put that play maker 81 at running back.

Qb controversy is for the birds….#21 is just fine where he plays. He is a SR and has great size and good speed. He should dominate and help that team win regardless of position. #81 is a WR and does a good job when he gets the ball in out in space its the best spot for him..not to mention he is great on defense doesn’t take plays off….that a true Sr leader. Can’t say the same about #21, on defense with that size at safety he should punish people and shut things down. Making comments like that casinokd is what is going to change productivity on that team cause I’m sure that is the talk. And talk is cheap…they would or could be 4-3 2-2 in district with #21 at QB or if Idalou was 5-2 3-1 in district no one would be saying anything about the QB spot. ….

Nothing in this district is a gimmie, But I do give credit to our offensive line GREAT JOB , we tore through the number 2 defense not with ease but we did it no one else has scored that many points against Idalou, Now we facea tough Shallowater Team, good offence, fair defence, good coaching staff, Its close to play off time and we do have a few teams left that are good.But all Littlefield needs to do is win only one and there in the playoffsand the way the brackets are looking right now inthe top off Texas we will be facing Kermit R3 so far in the predictions but i wander who will also be representing this district in the small school bracket Post sure is looking good could they be the one, But my ? is we all love our schools but come on people its time to relize who is going and who is not. I support my team 100%. I know we don’t have a good record this year, but we have some great kids with great attitudes. Roosevelt showed horrible sportsmanship when they came over to play us. Post and Slaton have a great rivalry, but I would rather see them in the play-offs than Idalou!!

The All District 1st and 2nd Teams and players recieving honorable mention were announced this past Monday at Monterey. Seems strange that Mr. Watson can’t find time to publish them. The Midland, San Angelo, Odessa and Amarillo papers have all reported them, AJ must have more pressing matters.
