Playing teams that are so weak that it's over by half time gives you a false reality of where your team stands and doesn't show where you need improvement. Whoever survives the gauntlet will win it. Don't berate anyone for playing lesser non-district teams. What would you have to gain by playing tough non-district schedules? Unlike D-1 college ball, there is a playoff system to determine final rankings. It would be ridiculous to play power house teams in non-district and get your team all banged up prior to district. Sure Littlefield and Idalou deserve to be talked about based upon their track record, but watch out, Post and Roosevelt have good ball teams, and I promise you Shallowater is waaaaaay under rated! They can strike from anywhere--anytime, and will hit you in the mouth. If key skill players stay healthy, don't be surprised to see this club playing deep in to the fall!!!
