Coronado tennis rips Lubbock High
The Coronado tennis team swept matches in girls singles and both doubles to beat Lubbock High in a District 2-5A match on Tuesday.
Coronado (20-3, 8-1) took six victories in girls singles and three each in girls and boys doubles, and also won four of six matches in boys singles. Lubbock High won two matches in boys singles and took the win in mixed doubles.
The Mustangs, ranked No. 8 in the state, now await the postseason, beginning with the District 2-5A tournament next week followed by regionals.
