Keane

Class 3A John Keane, Cooper

• Position: Quarterback

• Height/weight: 6-0, 170

• Classification: Sophomore

• Last week: Even though the Pirates were out of the playoff picture, Keane gave a good glimpse of 2010 with his season-ending effort. In a 48-14 win over Levelland, he rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 135 yards and a score.

Richardson

Class 2A Thomas Richardson, Littlefield

• Position: Running back

• Height/weight: 5-7, 155

• Classification: Junior

• Last week: With the District 3-2A championship on the line and Littlefield without its best running back, Richardson picked up the slack and carried the Wildcats to the title, rushing for 135 yards on 13 carries in an 18-13 win over Post.

Davis

Class 1A/TAPPS BJ Davis, Sudan

• Position: TE/LB

• Height/weight: 6-7, 215

• Classification: Senior

• Last week: Davis’ play helped the Hornets lock up a playoff spot. Offensively he caught two passes for 57 yards and two touchdowns and on defense had 16 solo tackles, 21 total, three for losses, an interception and blocked a punt.

Samsel

Six-Man Keaton Samsel, Whitharral

• Position: Quarterback

• Height/weight: 6-0, 155

• Classification: Senior

• Last week: Whitharral’s talented quarterback led the Panthers to the playoffs with a 32-27 win over Kress by rushing for 166 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and completing 12 of 27 passes for 87 yards and two scores.
