Sudan edges Cooper in battle of top-ranked teams

SUDAN – Lacee Logan scored 24 points, and Sudan outlasted Cooper 56-55 Friday night in an early season showdown of No. 1-ranked teams.

Danielle Logan scored 17 points and CeCe Williams 14 for Sudan, and the top-ranked team in Class 1A rallied after trailing for much of the third quarter.

Brittney Bednarz scored 14 for Cooper, the No. 1 team in 3A.
