Torres shines at regional meet
Coronado junior Donovan Torres finished 16th out of 224 runners on Saturday at the Foot Locker South Regional Cross Country Championships in Charlotte, N.C.
Torres, who finished fifth at the Class 5A state meet earlier this month, posted a time of 15 minutes, 7 seconds on the 5-kilometer course. He also helped Texas, which had six runners in the top 20, win the team championship.
